New education policy to focus on values: Irani

A new education policy is being framed in which emphasis will be laid on teaching students moral values as the present system is only producing degree holders, Union HRD minister Smriti Irani on Sunday said.

Addressing a function here organised by ABVP, she said the present education system is producing only degree holders while the need of the hour is to have a structure where students are taught moral values as well.

The government will frame a new education policy in which emphasis would be laid on producing good human beings besides educationists, she said.
