Nepalese girl alleges gang-rape by six men in South Delhi

A 19-year-old girl from Nepal who was allegedly been trafficked and forced into prostitution has filed a complaint against six men for raping her in south Delhi’s Mehrauli area. The victim is a resident of Kathmandu who had recently came to India and had started working as a domestic help in Haryana’s Panipat district. Few months later, a couple identified as Ranju and Amit, lured her of getting a better job in Delhi. Consequently, in June, she came to Delhi and started living with the couple in south Delhi’s Khirki Extension. There, she was allegedly forced into prostitution.
On Sunday, the couple instructed her to go to a house in Saidulajab are near Mehrauli to meet one Subash. She was reportedly made to consume alcohol at the house after which six men including Subash allegedly took turns to rape her. For the whole day, she was kept hostage at the house and in the wee hours of Monday she managed to escape. She immediately went to local police station and filed a complaint against the six men and the couple. The medical examination of the girl has confirmed rape.
