Nepal urged for poll candidates’ safety

With one of its candidates shot at during poll campaign, CPN-UML on Monday demanded the Nepal government to step up security for the 19 November Constituent Assembly elections. Jhala Nath Khanal, chairman of the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist-Leninist), met chairman of the interim government Khil Raj Regmi and sought extra security for the candidates.
