NDMC starts dengue awareness campaign

New Delhi Municipal Council on Friday launched an awareness programme for its schools to tackle the menace of dengue and malaria.

The programme called ‘Fight the Bite’, aims to educate teachers, students and their parents on how to fight these epidemics.

Speaking on the occasion Jalaj Shrivastava, chairman of NDMC said, ‘We consider children as our ambassadors.

‘We expect that they will help create awareness about this menace and spread the message.’

He has also asked school authorities to give five grace marks to the students for this work. This is the seventh awareness programme for the principal and nodal officers of the schools conducted by NDMC since 2007.
Last year also, NDMC had organized an awareness programme for the Engineering Department of CPWD, Railway, State Guest Houses and Five Star Hotels.
