NDMC launches online building plan system

The system will come into effect from Monday. Once effected, no manual proposal will be accepted by the Council.Senior officials of the NDMC said the system would help in swift and hassle-free approval of building plan through a single window.

“The existing system includes manual interface for scrutiny of plans, fee calculation, site inspection, etc., which is a time-taking exercise, while the OBPAMS will provide an efficient and transparent single-window system. The system entails a common application form, online submission, fee calculation and payment. 

The system also generates date of site inspection, online linkage with external agencies, text message/ email alert at each stage and online building plan approval and rejection,” said the official.

“From Monday, citizens won’t be required to visit any office, meet officials, track application status online or carry out manual scrutiny. 

The system will ensure faster, convenient and transparent process. The Council has set up a facilitation centre at the 12th floor of Palika Kendra, where assistance with regard to OBPAMS will be provided,” he added.
