‘NCR Planning Board delaying Noida project’

Rama Raman, Greater Noida Chief Executive Officer [CEO], has maintained that the file of Noida Extension project is still with NCR Planning Board and only a letter of objection was sent to his office. He further clarified that the objections were already cleared and he would meet Naini Jaiseelan, member secretary of NCRPB on Monday.

‘He has assured us to show all correspondence between Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority [GNIDA] and NCR Planning Board [NCRPB] on Monday. He is holding NCRPB responsible for the delay,’ said Shweta Bharti, General Secretary of Noida Extension Flat Owners and Members Association [NEFOMA]. The members met Raman at his residence on Saturday to discuss the stalemate over the resumption of construction work in the region.

The delegation included Devender Kumar, Abhishek Kumar, Indrish Gupta, Shweta Bharti, Annu Khan, Vijay Trivedi and Ravinder Jain.

‘He said that the file is still at NCRPB. Only one objection letter dated 6 June was sent to Housing Dept [UP Govt]... Objections regarding green area and population density have  also been cleared by GNIDA in previous correspondences, the CEO told us,’ added Bharti.

Another member of NEFOMA said, ‘We also raised questions regarding Master Plan 2021 file, as it was sent back to GNIDA by National Capital Region Planning Board,’ said Devender, a buyer in Noida Extension.

‘According to the papers shown to us, it is very clear that the delay in approval is intentional and is due to political reasons. And it has nothing to do with the reasons shown in the letters,’ Bharti claimed.
