NBW against 15 SP activists in Uttar Pradesh gang rape case

A local court here has issued non-bailable warrant (NBW) against 15 people, including the Kasganj district president of Samajwadi Party Vikram Yadav in connection with the gang rape of a Muslim woman on 8 July, 2006.
Special court (Dacoity infested area) issued the non-bailable warrant against the 15 Samajwadi Party activists including Vikram.
According to police sources, Virkam Yadav and his supporters attacked the victim's house at Garhinather village in Dolna police station area in erstwhile Etah district on July 8, 2006, when Mulayam Singh Yadav was chief minister.
The SP men beat up the husband of the woman and three others –Ram Pratap, Himmat Singh and Subhash – on Vikram's direction and gang raped the woman. Later, when the victim approached the police to lodge a complaint, everybody including the SSP of the district, refused to entertain them.
