National Book Trust, India (NBT) and Cinedarbaar are organising Qitaabé, a three-day event celebrating the National Book Week.  The event will take place at DLF Place Mall, Saket, from 16 to 18 November. It will be inaugurated by Namita Gokhale, festival Director, Jaipur Literary Festival and MA Sikandar, Director, NBT, on 16 November. At  the inauguration, a short story collection, Waves, written exclusively by children in the age group 13-17 years – and published by Cinedarbaar – will be released.

Qitaabe, one of a kind of a ‘literary lab’, will have lots of innovative and  interactive activities. There will also be a treasure hunt and a storytelling session with Simi Srivastava from Kathashala. Weave a Yarn,  is a collaborative project where people continue each other’s stories on a big white canvas. A small collection of books by NBT and Penguin will be made available at the mall for people to read. The National Book Week is an initiative of the NBT to promote books and the habit of reading in the country.
