Woman found murdered at her residence in Golf Green

Kolkata: A woman aged about 30 years was allegedly murdered at her residence in Rajendra Prasad Colony in Golf Green area on Wednesday evening.

According to sources, the woman used to stay in a house at Rajendra Prasad Colony with her mother. On Wednesday afternoon, the woman suddenly went missing. Her mother called her repeatedly but she did not respond. When the woman’s mother entered her room, saw blood stains on the door. While trying to find out the source of the blood the woman discovered her daughter's body under the bed. Immediately she screamed and informed her neighbours. Subsequently police were informed. Police later recovered the body and sent it for autopsy. Several sharp cut injury marks were reportedly found on the woman’s body. Police have registered a murder case and started a probe. The cops of Homicide Section of the Kolkata Police also conducted a probe on Wednesday night. Till last reports came in, the woman has been identified, however police officially did not publish the name.
