With two more deaths, swine flu toll 16 in HP
Shimla: There is no let-up in the cases of swine flu cases reaching major government hospitals in Himachal Pradesh as death toll has risen to 16 with two more deaths reported on Monday.
Senior medical Superintendent Indira Gandhi Medical College (IGMC) hospital Dr Janak Raj confirmed two more deaths at the hospital, who included a 92-year-old person hailing from
Shimla and a 47-year-old from Kasauli.
Two were admitted at the hospital on January 30 and February 3 respectively .
In all, 113 cases have been confirmed positive in the state. Six new patients were also admitted Dr. Rajendra Prasad Government Medical College (RPGMC) in Tanda in Kangra district. State health minister Vipin Singh Parmar making a suo moto statement in the Assembly said all precautions have been taken to deal with the situation.
He claimed that swine flu had taken 27 lives in 2015 and during the successive years the incidence have been on decline but this year it has again remerged.
