Vyapam scam: CBI arrests director of LN Medical college

BHOPAL: CBI on Wednesday arrested director of LN Medical College Jainarayan Chouksey who was on run after being chargesheeted in the Vyapam's PMT-2012 admission scam. He was arrested from his house.

His application for anticipatory bail was rejected by Supreme Court on March 6.

On March 8 Madhya Pradesh high court had granted bail to Dr Ajay Goenka, managing director of Chirayu Health and Medicare Private Limited and four others who were charge sheeted in the same scam.

Others who got bail in the case include Dr Vijay Kumar Pandya - dean of People's medical college, Dr Vijay Kumar Ramnani - member of people's medical college admission committee, Dr D K Satpathy– incharge of L N Medical college's admission committee and Ravi Saxena of Chirayu Medical College. Dr Goenka and Dr Satpati had surrendered before the court on January 31. The court had sent both of them to jail till the next hearing, which was on February 24.
