Venue for 37th India Carpet Expo changed

New Delhi: The venue for the 36th India Carpet Expo scheduled from October 21 to 24 in Varanasi has been changed to newly inaugurated Trade Facilitation Centre and Crafts Museum at Deen Dyal Hastkala Sankul, Bada Lalpur in Chandmari area.

Earlier, the expo was scheduled to be held at Sports Ground of Sampurnanand Sanskrit Vishwavidyalaya in Jagatganj area of Varanasi.

The decision to change the venue was taken in the COA meeting held on Tuesday.

The new venue has all the facilities with modern technology and it will help the exhibiters display their wide range of products, said a source, adding that overseas buyers will also find all the attractive products under one roof.

Mahavir Pratap Sharma, Chairman, Sidh Singh, 1st Vice-Chairman and Sanjay Kumar, Executive Director Of the Council expressed optimistim about the new venue and said the modern exhibition centre will help the fair to be of the international standards.
