Trinamool writes to both Houses for sending advisories to WB Chief Secy
New Delhi: TMC, the ruling party of West Bengal has submitted letters to both Lok Sabha Speaker and Rajya Sabha Chairman on Monday, mentioning that the issues pertaining to the state are unnecessarily being raked up on the Floor of the House. LS leader Sudip Bandyopadhyay and RS leader Derek O'Brien have submitted letters in the respective Houses.
The party claimed that in the last ten working days of the Parliament, four questions in the Lower House and six questions in the Upper House have been raised by the incumbent government. Objecting this, Bandyopadhyay said, "Such activities are against parliamentary democracy". 10 advisories have been sent to the Chief Secretary so far. Earlier, the party made a scathing attack against the government for unnecessarily targetting it in Parliament, despite violence taking place in other states. Even the party's MPs claimed that communitarian bias to the discourses taking place with regard to the state.
