Telangana's Durishetty tops UPSC exam

NEW DELHI: Union Public Service Commission on Friday evening released the final result of UPSC Civil Services Exam 2017 on its official website.
Hyderabad candidate Anudeep Durishetty has topped the UPSC Civil Services Exam 2017. Candidates who appeared in the written examination last year can check the details and the respective results on the official site of UPSC: upsc.gov.in. Based on the results of the written part of held by the UPSC in October-November, 2017 and the interviews for Personality Test conducted in February-April, 2018, as many as 990 names were recommended for appointment to (i) Indian Administrative Service, Indian Foreign Service, Indian Police Service and Central Services, Group 'A' and Group 'B'.
The UPSC examination was held to recruit 980 posts of Indian nationals in Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS) and Central Services (Group A and Group B) and various other government departments. Out of 980 posts, 54 posts are reserved for reserved categories. The IAS PRE (CSAT) Exam was held on 18 June 2017.
