Saugata Roy visits CBI office

Kolkata: MP Saugata Roy went to the office of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Wednesday in connection with the probe of the Narada News sting operation.
After coming out of the office of the investigating agency, Roy said that he didn't take any money and he has been unnecessarily framed.
He said: "We have to keep in mind that CBI was referred to as caged parrot. Moreover, I consider it to be a political game." Roy went to the office of the CBI on Wednesday morning and was there for around 5 hours. He assured that he will be continuing his support to the probe into the incident as he wants the truth to come to light.
Meanwhile, Mayor Sovan Chatterjee and the state Transport minister Suvendu Adhikari have been summoned by the CBI in similar connection.
It is learnt that Chatterjee has been urged to turn up at the office of the CBI on Thursday while Adhikari will be going to the office next week.
The CBI officers are getting the statement given by the former CEO of Narada News Mathew Samuel verified from the political leaders whose names had cropped up in the sting operation.
It may be mentioned that the political leaders have assured all cooperation with the investigating agencies to probe into the incident.
