Railways used Rs 1.13 trillion of its capex till August in fy24

The Railway Ministry has spent Rs 1.13 trillion in capital expenditure till August in the current financial year. This expenditure is 46.6 per cent of the estimated capital expenditure of Rs 2.44 trillion for the financial year 2023-24. Due to this expenditure, Indian Railways is in the first place with the highest capital expenditure till August amongst all central departments and ministries.
