Rahul, Kejriwal, Akhilesh among others to attend HDK's swearing-in

Bengaluru: After high-octane drama post-Karnataka Assembly election results declared on Tuesday, Janata Dal (Secular) chief H D Kumaraswamy is all set to swear-in as the Chief Minister of the state on Wednesday.
Rahul Gandhi is among the top Congress leaders who are expected to attend the oath-taking ceremony of HD Kumaraswamy in Bengaluru on Wednesday.
Chief Minister of Delhi and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convenor Arvind Kejriwal, West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) supremo N Chandrababu Naidu and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao are also expected to attend the swearing-in. Former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav is also amongst the invitees. Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati, who had tied-up with Kumaraswamy's JD(S) will also be present for the swearing-in ceremony on Wednesday.
DMK working president M K Stalin too is expected to attend Kumaraswamy's oath taking ceremony.
Reflecting the new political line adopted by the CPI(M) to unite all "secular-democratic" forces to take on the BJP, its General Secretary Sitaram Yechury would share the stage with leaders of the Congress and other parties at the swearing-in ceremony of Karnataka chief minister-designate HD Kumaraswamy.
Yechury, who has been personally invited by Kumaraswamy, would travel to Bengaluru to attend the oath-taking ceremony.
"The chief minister-elect, who had come to Delhi, spoke to me over the phone. I said there is no need for formality. He invited me to attend the swearing-in ceremony. I will attend it in Bengaluru on May 23," he told reporters on Monday.
Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will attend the swearing in ceremony of Janata Dal(S) leader H D Kumaraswamy as Karnataka Chief Minister on May 23.
Vijayan will be attending the ceremony, accepting the invitation of former Prime Minister and JDS supremo Deve Gowda and his son, Kumaraswamy, sources in the Chief Minister's office said.
