Panchayati Raj Ministry releases Rs 1600 crore to Bengal

Kolkata: The Ministry of Panchayati Raj has released over Rs 1600 crore under 15th Finance Commission in connection with rural development in the state.

The assurance for sending the funds was given in a meeting held in beginning of August which was attended by senior officials from state Panchayats and Rural Development department.
