North Central Rlys celebrate Constitution Day
New Delhi: The North Central Railways on Tuesday celebrated Constitution Day, in honour of the Constituent Assembly of India adopting the Constitution of India on this day in 1949, by reading out the Preamble along with a large number of officials.
Officials here said that this marks the beginning of the year-long festivities to celebrate India's Constitution, the supreme law of the land in the country.
They said that activities such as rallies, walks and awareness campaigns are planned for the coming one year to celebrate the Constitution.
Additional General Manager Arun Malik read out the Preamble of the Constitution along with officials of the North Central Railways to mark the occasion, with a focus on fundamental duties to be fulfilled in service of their society and nation. The Agra, Jhansi and Allahabad divisions have also decided to celebrate the
day.
