NBCC to construct AIIMS in Himachal

New Delhi: The NBCC (India) Ltd, which is a Navratna CPSE under the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, has bagged a prestigious project for planning, designing and construction of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) at Kothipara in Bilaspur district of Himachal Pradesh valuing Rs 1138 crores.

The project has been awarded to NBCC by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY), an official press release said.

Spread over 205 acres, the proposed institution would have a hospital with a capacity of 750 beds, including emergency/trauma beds, AYUSH beds, private beds and ICU (speciality & super

speciality) beds, the press statement said.

In addition, there would be an institutional block catering to around 100 MBBS students and 60 nursing students apart from an administration block, AYUSH block, auditorium, night shelter, guest house, hostels and residential facilities with modern amenities.
