National Cadet Corps holds bi-annual conference
New Delhi: The Bi-annual Additional Directors General and Deputy Directors General Conference representing the National Cadet Corps (NCC) from all the states of the
country was held at its headquarters here on July 18 and 19 July.
The meeting was inaugurated by Lt Gen PP Malhotra, VSM, DG NCC. In his opening remarks the DG NCC said it was very important to have homogeneity & ease of functioning between the State and Central Govt functionaries.
He further apprised everyone that the Government aims to give more impetus on Youth training through NCC and they are determined to promote & progress the cause of NCC to groom tomorrows leaders.
The conference aimed at ensuring uniform standard for training and administration of the NCC Units located throughout the length and breadth of the country.
The meeting also shared the latest progress on various issues related to smooth functioning of National Cadet Corps. Presently NCC is also undergoing expansion with an aim to increase the Cadet strength to 15 Lakhs throughout the country.
The conference further helps in bridging the gap between the State & Central Govt functionaries by ironing out issues that affect the National Cadet Corps.
