Heavy rainfall likely in Odisha

Heavy to very heavy rainfall along with gusty surface wind is likely to occur in some areas of Odisha due to the formation of a low pressure over the Bay of Bengal on Sunday.

Under the influence of upper air cyclonic circulation, a low-pressure area has formed over north-west Bay of Bengal and adjoining coastal areas of Odisha and Gangetic West Bengal on Sunday, the meteorological centre here said. Therefore, rain and thundershower are likely to occur at most places over Odisha. Heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of interior Odisha and heavy rainfall over the coastal region during next 24 hours.
