One held in MG Road molestation case

One arrest has been made by Sonepat Police in connection to the molestation of the two college girls at MG road in Gurugram on the night of June 16.
The accused has been identified as Ravinder who is a cab driver. The police are now in search of his other accomplices. The cops have also retrieved the CCTV footages which helped them to make the arrests.
The officials of Gurugram Police are also collaborating with the Sonepat Police in this case.
Two college girls from Sonepat complained of being molested by a group of men on Friday night when they visited a liquor vending unit at MG road.
The women complained that they were chased by the men who made lewd calls at them. Besides being groped, the women also complained that one of the men even asked them what rate they charged.
Horrified after the incident, the girls formally lodged a police complaint at Rai Police station in Sonepat where the case under section
354-A IPC (sexual harassment), section 354-B (sexual assault).
The brazen incident of molestation at the MG road again exposed the security measures for women in the high scale area.
It is MG road where most of the molesters have been held in Operation- Durga and Operation Majnu.
Despite the security measures taken by the authorities, the women and children continue to complain of insecurity at the Mall mile and also in the surrounding ares of the city.
