Swami Suviranandaji is new general secy of RKM

Swami Suvirananda became the general secretary of Ramakrishna Math and Mission.

He succeeded Swami Suhitanandaji. Swami Suviranandaji, an MA in English from Calcutta University, joined the RKM's centre in Rahara in the early 1970s. He served the Mission Centre in North - East for over a decade.

He was the secretary of the centre at Deoghar where he took up major development works. During his tenure, the school run by RKM in Deoghar became the best school in Jharkhand.

He carried out major expansion work turning it into one of the finest centres of RKM.

He also strengthened the Bal Siksha Kendra which offers coaching to students coming from economically challenged background.

He became one of the Assistant General Secretaries of RKM and had toured Europe. He is a living

example of Swami Vivekananda's message: "Work is Worship."
