Khattar to attend ‘Meri Mati-Mera Desh’ event
CHANDIGARH: Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar will be chief guest at the state-level ‘Meri Mati-Mera Desh’ (Mitti Ko Naman-Veeron Ko Vandan) event as part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.
The event is scheduled to take place in Rohtak on October 25. Sharing the information here on Tuesday, an official spokesperson informed that a dedicated “Amrit Vatika”
has been developed behind the main stage at the event venue. As part of the program, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar will participate in tree planting activities in a dedicated garden. Soil from various regions, including every block and urban local body in the state, will be used for planting these saplings, emphasising environmental conservation and community participation in Haryana.
A total of 75 fruit and medicinal plants will be planted by the Chief Minister and other dignitaries in the Amrit Vatika.
In addition, he will also preside over the inauguration
ceremony of PMShree Schools at Maharishi Dayanand University, Rohtak on October 25,
in the presence
of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
