Khattar seeks Oppn co-op to resolve Jat quota stir

In a move to resolve the ongoing Jat reservation agitation, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Wednesday sought the cooperation of opposition parties to end the protest.
Also, Khattar denied the allegations put forward by opposition parties. The allegations stated that government did not want to hold talks with agitators and refused to accept their demands.
Dubbing the charges as baseless, Khattar said, "The allegations stated by Opposition leaders are both baseless and false." The opposition also alleged that some of the ministers of Khattar cabinet were trying to divide communities by and playing a dual game by not talking to agitators.
The Chief Minister was responding to adjournment motions regarding indefinite dharnas held by Jat Community members at various places, moved by MLA Raghuvir Singh Kadian in the ongoing session of Haryana Vidhan Sabha in Chandigarh on Wednesday.
Khattar reiterated the commitment of state government to resolve the Jat issue through dialogue. "The government is willing to hold talks with any group or leaders who want to resolve the issue. Also, the center is leaving no stone unturned to ensure a peaceful atmosphere in the state," he added.
