Hry to provide jobs to kin of martyrs
Chandigarh: Haryana government has decided to provide government job to the dependent of martyrs namely Dilbag Singh, Bijender Kumar and Dharampal, all Sepoy in the Indian Army by giving relaxation in the policy.
A decision to this effect was taken in the meeting of State Cabinet held under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister, Manohar Lal here on Wednesday.
The government has decided to provide government job of Group D to Virender Singh, adopted son of martyr Dilbag Singh. Sepoy Dilbag Singh of village Boria in district Jhajjar sacrificed his life in Operation Meghdoot on March 13,1986. At the time of martyrdom of Dilbag Singh, the widow of martyr Krishna Devi had no child. The wife of martyr has adopted the son Virender Singh on August 2,1989. At the time of adoption, the age of Virender Singh was two years and six months. The martyr's wife had made a request to give appointment to her adopted son on compassionate grounds.
The government has also decided to provide government job of Group D to Rajesh Kumar, adopted son of martyr Dharampal. Sepoy Dharampal of village Birhi Kalan, tehsil Charkhi Dadri sacrificed his life in Operation Cactus Lily on December 14,1971. The government has also decided to provide government job of Group C to Ramesh Kumar, brother of martyr Bijender Kumar. Sepoy Bijender had sacrificed his life in Operation Parakram in Jammu and Kashmir on June 26,2002.
