Hry: Chautala’s JJP asked to vacate office
Chandigarh: Former Haryana deputy CM Dushyant Chautala has been asked by the BJP government led by Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini to vacate the Jannayak Janata Party (JJP) headquarters here.
It’s another setback for JJP, which had suffered a humiliating defeat in the Assembly elections. Following the results, all the former MLAs who lost were given 15 days’ time, including JJP’s representatives. However, when the government’s order reached JJP, they had asked for 3 months’ time. However, the government refused to give more than 15 days.
The JJP headquarters was situated in Sector 3, the party carrying out its work from the MLA’s flat, for the last 5 years.
The flat was allotted to Dushyant’s mother Naina Chautala.
Sources associated with JJP say that the party headquarters will now move to Panchkula. It is also discussed that this office will be opened in the private residence of the former Deputy CM in Sector 21, Panchkula.
JJP state media in-charge Deep Kamal said that the office will be vacated this month. After the formation of the new BJP government in the state, flats are being vacated from the defeated leaders so that they can be given to the newly-elected MLAs.
