Himachal CM launches new initiatives on his 54th birthday
Shimla: Himachal CM Jai Ram Thakur on Sunday celebrated his 54th birthday with people from all walks of life visiting his official residence 'Oak Over' early in the morning and extended their good wishes to him.
He received greetings on his birthday from President Ram Nath Kovind and his counterparts of different States, Union Ministers besides senior party leaders. Thakur distributed blankets, shoes, and jackets to the needy on his birthday.He also visited cancer hospital Shimla and distributed blankets to the patients.
During the day, he launched CM's app 'Shikhar Ki Aur Himachal', which is one stop application for all the information pertaining to government. He released a book on 'Jan Manch' and launched 'Ek Boota Beti Ke Naam' under the Jan Manch programme. Thakur released a special calendar on Biodiversity, mainly Himalayan butterflies and birds photographed by Kunal Satyarthi, member secretary HP Council for Science, technology, and Environment.
