New Delhi: The central committee of the All India Forward Bloc (AIFB) has decided to launch a month-long mass action programme from November-December against the "anti-people" NDA government, it said on Thursday.
AIFB general secretary Debabrata Biswas said the central committee of the party had come to the conclusion that the 40 -month rule of the government, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, had pushed the country into a "serious socio-economic and political crisis". "The time-tested values of democracy, secularism, sovereignty and socialism, as enshrined in the Constitution, are facing serious challenges from the Modi dispensation," an AIFB statement quoted him as saying.
Biswas informed that the party units across the country had been instructed to hold mass action programmes, including rallies, dharna, picketing etc., for a month.
The campaign would be launched on November 8 by observing the day as "Black Day", he added.
Biswas said the AIFB would organise a countrywide protest programme against the GST on November 15.
