Fire services, Cambay Asset controls major blaze in Gujarat
New Delhi: A major fire at the godown of a dye-producing factory, Rohan Dye factories, in Kalamsar village of Khambhat taluka in Anand district, Gujarat, was controlled by the timely action of ONGC fire unit on Tuesday. No casualties were reported as no person was present at the godown at the time of the incident.
The fire, which was reported at 8.21 am, was brought under control after several hours by fire fighters on the spot.
Fire Services, Cambay Asset received a fire call message from Dy. Collector, Khambhat at 8.21 on Tuesday requesting assistance in dousing of fire at Rohan Dyes & Intermediates Ltd located at Dhuvaran Road, near Dali Chowkdi, Kalamsar, District Anand, Gujarat.
After receiving the fire call message, fire crew consisting of three members rushed to the site along with Multipurpose Foam Tender GJ-23BC-0140 and fire crew. A second crew also rushed to the fire site with additional AFFF foam compound. The fire crew reached the site and seized the emergency situation by making a strategy to control the fire. Finally, the fire was control at around 11.56 am and the cooling was continued by local fire unit from nearby industries.
