New Delhi: Intensifying the protest against non-implementation of recommendations of 7th Pay Commission, the workers union of Food Corporation of India started their protest against the management of FCI by raising slogans against management at the regional office in Lucknow on Friday.
The protest was led by state secretary of Bharatiya Khadya Nigam Karmchari Sangh Jahir Ahmad.
Launching a scathing attack on the management of FCI, Ahmad said, "If the recommendations of 7th Pay Commission are being not implemented, the ongoing protest would turn out to be a mass movement which would directly hit the wheat procurement as well as distribution of food grains under the National Food Security Act."
The protest was supported by the Bharatiya Khadya Nigam Karmchari Sangh's state president Vijay Pal.
