Employees are change agents of Rlys: Lohani

New Delhi: To boost the morale of railway employees, Chairman Railway Board Ashwani Lohani on Wednesday interacted with railway staff in one-to-one open session.

Lohani in his address stressed that proper personal conduct; proper professional conduct and proper official conduct are extremely essential and must be followed for good conduct and to make railways better.

"Keeping premises clean is not just a safaiwala's responsibility; it's must for all of us to keep railway and our surroundings neat and clean. You are our agents of the change," Lohani said while addressing railway employees during 'swachh aachran, behtar rail' interactive session.

He further said, "Every inch of our premises must be clean and the manner in which our staff behaves with its own colleagues and customer has to change. We must do introspection to bring out this behavioural change."

The CRB said, "Railway must get rid of corruption. Our biggest strength is our human resource if we look after our employees well, then they will serve our clients with all their sincerity and honesty."

Present on the occasion, Northern Railways GM Vishwesh Chaube said, "When Bhopal Gas tragedy had happened it was our station staff who held their place and ensured the safety of thousands of stranded passengers whose trains were to pass by Bhopal."
