Delhi Transco staff contribute one-day salary to Kerala relief fund

NEW DELHI: Delhi government power undertaking Delhi Transco Limited employees on Friday contributed one-day's salary for Kerala flood victims. Delhi Transco Limited (DTL) Chief Managing Director Varsha Joshi handed over a cheque of Rs 1,01,548 to Power Minister Satyender Jain.

The DTL spokesperson said that due to unusually high rainfall in the month of August 2018, severe flooding has affected millions of people in Kerala. Many people have lost their lives and a large number of people have been forced to live in the relief camps.

"Keeping in view their duty to help the fellow citizens in distress, the employees of Delhi Transco Limited have contributed one day's salary towards the Kerala's Chief Minister Distress Relief Fund," said spokesperson.
