Congress spokesperson Pawan Kheda gets bail
Lucknow: In a recent development, Congress national spokesperson Pawan Kheda, who faced allegations of making inappropriate comments about the
late father of Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a press conference, has been granted bail.
Chief Judicial Magistrate Hrishikesh Pandey has ordered the release of the accused upon furnishing two sureties of Rs 25,000 each and an additional surety.
Earlier, advocates Sudhanshu Shekhar Tripathi and Praveen Kumar Yadav had submitted an application for the surrender of Pawan Kheda.
Following this, the court had directed that the accused be taken into custody.
Subsequently, a bail application was filed on behalf of Kheda, asserting his innocence and claiming that he had been wrongfully implicated in the case.
The accused also provided an assurance that he would not misuse the bail privilege.
Taking these factors into account, the court ruled in favor of his release.
