CM Khattar woos Israeli firms to invest in Haryana

Tel Aviv: Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has invited Israel's aerospace industry and cyber security firms to set up their bases in Haryana.
Khattar visited Israeli Aerospace Industry (IAI) where he was briefed by Israeli officials about the innovations made in the fields of aerospace and defence.
He invited IAI to set up ancillary units in the Hisar Aviation Hub being set up by his government, a statement said.
He has also invited the consortium of cyber security companies under Israel Aviation Industry to set up base in Haryana which houses top 200 companies in the world, it said.
During the discussions, officials from IAI evinced keen interest in the aviation hub and agreed to visit Hisar next month, it added.
The IAI has entered into USD 1 billion contract with the India government under which it is obliged to invest or procure 30 per cent material from the local market.
The officials assured to explore Haryana as a top priority.
Khattar also visited the manufacturing plant of Unmanned Ariel Vehicle (UAV) and jets and invited IAI to set up ancillary units in the proposed Hisar Aviation Hub.
Highlighting Hisar's proximity to Delhi International Airport, Khattar said the place had less humid atmosphere which is vital for UAV and other defence materials.
