BJP will suffer major loss in 2019 polls, says Delhi CM
NEW DELHI: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will suffer a major loss in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections as people are unhappy with it. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) head also said the common man is angry with the BJP for "creating hurdles" in the works of the Delhi government under him.
"The public is not very happy with the BJP MPs. They are all the more angry with the party as it has created hurdles in the works of the Delhi government. The BJP will suffer major losses in 2019," Kejriwal tweeted.
Earlier, a survey conducted by ABP News and C-Voter predicted that Congress party will register a victory in the upcoming assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Chhattisgarh but Prime Minister Narendra Modi's charm will help the party in emerging as the winner in 2019 polls.
The survey predicted that the Congress party would win the majority by a huge margin in all the three poll-bound states. While the grand old party is predicted to win 117 out of 230 seats in Madhya Pradesh, 130 of 200 in Rajasthan and 54 of 90 in Chhattisgarh, the BJP may bag 106 in MP, 57 seats in Rajasthan and only 33 in Chhattisgarh, the opinion poll said.
Even though the BJP is predicted to be decimated by the Congress in the assembly polls, survey for 2019 polls tells a different story. One of the predictions said that even though people in the three states are ready for a change, their first choice for the PM post is Narendra Modi.
