BJP announces two Rajasthan poll panels, Raje missing from both

Jaipur: In anticipation of the upcoming assembly elections in Rajasthan later this year, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has made a significant move by announcing the formation of two vital committees - the Election Management Committee and the Manifesto Committee. Notably, the absence of former Chief Minister and National Vice President Vasundhara Raje’s name from these committees has sparked intrigue and speculation.

State In-Charge Arun Singh evaded questions about Raje’s exclusion, stating, “All senior leaders will campaign.” The BJP’s State President CP Joshi and Arun Singh jointly disclosed that these committees were established under the guidance of National President Jagat Prakash Nadda. They expressed optimism that the state would gain from the collective experience of both committees in the upcoming elections.

The BJP leadership has entrusted the leadership of the Manifesto Committee to Central Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal, while the Election Management Committee will be overseen by former Member of Parliament, Narayan Pancharya.

Joshi underscored that the 25-member Manifesto Committee includes prominent figures like Rajya Sabha member Ghanshyam Tiwari, Kirori Lal Meena, National Secretary Alka Singh Gurjar, former Deputy Speaker of the Assembly Rao Rajendra Singh, former Union Minister Subhash Maharia, former Minister Prabhu Lal Saini, and Rakhi Rathore, all serving as co-coordinators.

The State Election Management Committee, comprising 25 members, features former State Minister Omkar Singh Lakhawat, party’s National Spokesperson and former Union Minister, Lok Sabha MP Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, State General Secretary Bhajanlal, General Secretary Damodar Agarwal, State leader C.M. Meena, and co-coordinator Kanhaiya Lal Bairwa.
