Bihar's biggest jewellery shop heist busted

New Delhi: In a major achievement, the Bihar police busted an interstate gang involved in the dacoity of gold ornaments worth Rs 4 crore from Patna's Panchwati Ratnalay.

The Bihar police on Monday arrested three accused in the state capital's biggest jewellery shop heist, while four of their accomplice is still at large. The incident had occurred on June 21 at Ashiana-Digha Road, one of the busiest commercial hub in Patna.

According to ADG Jitendra Kumar, who addressed a press conference along with central range DIG Rajesh Kumar and SSP Garima Mallik, the police have recovered 3.25 kg gold ornaments, 1.25 kg silver and 300 gram precious stones, three loaded pistols, seven live cartridges, Rs 6.30 lakh cash and one white bike used in the crime from the possession of arrested and forwarded them to judicial custody.

Arrested persons have been identified as Ravi Gupta alias Netaji alias Master Ji alias Patient, Shipu Kumar and Vikash Kumar Mali.
