Biggest jewellery robbery solved after 17 days

New Delhi: In a major achievement, Bihar's Begusarai police have solved a sensational biggest gold heist after 17 days of its occurrence. As the robbery was little different from other incidents of loot, the case was handled by Begusarai DIG Rajesh Kumar and solved the case.

The police have arrested six miscreants involved in the robbery along with the robbed jewellery.

Though, the police officials are not revealing a much about the case, but sources have claimed that police have recovered more than two kilograms of gold jewellery, while raids are on to recover the stolen jewellery.

Notably, on November 12 two bike-borne miscreants shot dead the driver of a gold trader near Thakurichak in Garhhara subsidiary police station area of the district and ran way with the booty. Given the quantum of loot, the Bihar DGP too visited Begusarai to take stock of the investigation process. The Begusarai DIG Rajesh Kumar, a 2003-batch IPS, acted swiftly and formed different teams to crack a whip against miscreants as the robbery was carried out in a very vicious

manner.
