Attack on farmers by police at Sanand was 'pre-planned': AAP

AAP leader Ashish Khetan on Sunday met farmers of Sanand tehsil in Gujarat, who allegedly clashed with police, while demanding water supply in their villages.

Demanding a judicial probe into the incident, Khetan told reporters that the "attack on farmers by police was pre-planned".

The AAP leader also asked the state government to withdraw police cases against farmers.

"We met farmers from Upardal and Jetpur villages who were injured in the clash. They said they had been demanding supply of water in their villages since last three decades. And the rally taken out on last Tuesday was peaceful, but police attacked them without instigation," said Khetan.
