'Three key issues discussed in AAP National Council meet'

New Delhi: In the National Council meeting of Aam Aadmi Party, a proposal was passed regarding the security of the country, to control inflation and to make an employment policy to get rid of the problem of unemployment, Delhi state convenor and Cabinet minister Gopal Rai said in a press conference on Sunday.

Rai further added that the National Council of AAP has resolved to advance the work of organisation building at the national level with prominence and in the first phase, the work of nationwide organisation expansion will be carried forward on priority basis in the states where elections are to be held in the coming days.

AAP National Secretary Pankaj Gupta remarked that the occasion was an important one as it was the AAP's first national council meeting after becoming a national party and added that the Council discussed three important issues and passed resolutions over them.

He said, "Today we organised the 11th National Council Meeting of the Aam Aadmi Party and it was an important meet as it was the first time that we met after we became a National Party. We also had another meeting earlier in the day in which we had representatives from different states of the country and we all discussed our roadmap for the future. Arvind Kejriwal also was part of this meeting and gave us the direction that the party worker and the volunteers need to work on in the upcoming days. He told us how we have to work to widen the reach of the party throughout the country. Three key proposals were discussed during this meeting."

Rai said, "In the two meetings that were held earlier in the day today we had representatives from across states and there were discussions on how to widen the reach of the party in different parts of the country and there were also issues of politics discussed today. The first proposal that was raised in the National Council today said that after becoming a National Party within the country, the party will now try to strengthen their base in several states of the country and for this purpose Sandeep

Pathak was earlier elected as the National General Secretary (Organisation).
