7-year-old boy dies after falling from ninth floor

Ghaziabad: A 7-year-old boy died after falling at the ground of Antriksh Greens apartments in Vaishali area of Ghaziabad on Thursday afternoon. The boy fell off the balcony from the ninth floor of the building while playing, on Wednesday and succumbed to his injuries at the Hospital on Thursday afternoon.
Deceased Garvit Garg was a student of Class 2nd of Amity International School in Noida. The boy fell over the fiber shade on the second floor and was admitted to Max Super specialty Hospital in Vaishali, where he was placed on ventilator support in the ICU. The boy succumbed to his injuries during treatment on Thursday afternoon, said police.
According to the doctors of Max hospital, the boy suffered multiple fractures and severe head injuries when he was referred to the hospital. He had lost a lot of blood from his body and was immediately put on the ventilator support. The boy continued to be on the ventilator ever since he was brought to the hospital and succumbed to his injuries in the afternoon.
On Wednesday evening, Garvit fell off the balcony while playing. A security guard of the society first spotted the boy when he heard the noise which came out after the boy fell on the fiber sheet. He then alerted the other guards who informed victim's parents about the mishap. "As I heard the loud sound, I immediately rushed to the spot and found the boy lying in a pool of blood. I immediately raised an alarm following which many guards gathered at the spot and we informed victim's family about the incident" said one of the guards.
Police said that they have not yet registered any case in the matter as the family is in deep sorrow and they declined to speak about the incident.
"As of now, no case has been registered in the matter. We tried to look into the CCTV camera but it does not focus the area where the incident took place. We will register a case and will begin with investigations once a complaint is received" said a police officer. Garvit's mother Praveena was working out at her office in a 12th-floor apartment in the building when the incident took place.
