1 militant killed in J&K gunfight

Srinagar: One militant was killed on Friday in a gunfight with the security forces in Jammu and Kashmir's border district of Kupwara.

The terrorist was killed in the encounter near Trehgam town at 5.30 a.m., Defence Ministry spokesman Colonel Rajesh Kalia told IANS.

"It was a specific operation based on intelligence inputs and the operation is now over," Kalia added.
