Narine replaces Roach in West Indies Test squad

Riding high on his success at the recently-concluded Indian Premier League (IPL), West Indies off-spinner Sunil Narine is now all set to make his Test debut as he was called up to replace injured pacer Kemar Roach in the ongoing Windies tour of England.

Narine starred in the IPL, bagging Man-of-the-Series award for taking 24 wickets for Kolkata Knight Riders and helping them to lift their first ever title.

The 24-year-old, who made his international debut last December and played eight One-Day Internationals, is yet to play a Test.

During the five-match ODI series against Australia in March, Narine grabbed 11 wickets but was unavailable for the subsequent three-Test series due to his IPL commitments.

The West Indies, who trail the ongoing Test series 0-2, will play Leicestershire in a two-day match this weekend before taking on England in the third and final Test at Edgbaston starting on 7th June.
