Nandkumar Sai, Ramesh Bais dropped from BJP core team

Two veteran leaders MP Ramesh Bais and former MP Rajya Sabha Nandkumar Sai, close associates of Atal Bihari Vajpayee and die-hard critic of Raman Singh government were on Friday dropped from the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) core group team.

According to reports, these leaders were not even sent invitation letters to attend the core group meeting going to be held in Delhi on August 23 and 27. Chhattisgarh BJP President Dharamlal Kaushik confirmed the omission of the names of these two leaders from the core group team.

Experts visualize the act as a harsh step to downsize and miff the growing dissent within the party also against Raman Singh government.

On asking the two leaders about the new decision, they replied that they not aware about it and refused to comment further. The politicians are of the view that the step might prove to be
counterproductive rather than helping in mitigating the dissent, it will create more factions and rate of infighting within the party will be escalated.

Both the leaders, being in the core group team quite often publicly criticized Raman Singh government over its policy implementation.

Nandkumar Sai raked the issue of tribal Chief Minister meanwhile Ramesh Bais publicly criticized Raman Singh government for faulty implementation of Welfare projects running in public domain.
Present new faces, who got admission in core group meetings are Minister Brijmohan Agarwal and
Punnelal Mohle. Other members of team are Dharamlal Kaushik, Saudan Singh, Saroj Pandey, CM Raman Singh, Pawan Sai, Rampratap Singh, Union Minister for States Vishnu Dev Sai.
