Lieutenant-Governor Najeeb Jung will address the Delhi assembly at 11 am on Monday. A discussion on Jung’s address will take place in the House on Tuesday.
The L-G’s address traditionally includes achievements and future programmes of the government and is followed by a discussion in the assembly.
Since this is Aam Aadmi Party’s first term in office, the L-G’s address is likely to focus only on the promises made by the new government and its political agenda.
Some of the issues that are likely to get highlighted in Jung’s address to the House include government’s promise to provide 700 litres of water free of cost to each household every day and the 50 per cent reduction in power tariff.
Both promises have been fulfilled by the Arvind Kejriwal-led government.
The address may also talk about government’s plans related to the introduction of the promised Jan Lokpal Bill.
