Nailed it

Get a break from the normal nail paints and try something interesting, says makeover consultant Aashmeen Munjaal who recommends Velvet Nail art. Velvet nail art can be done multiple colors, to go with the trends. 

Here's how to get it done: Take a velvet paper sheet and smoothly scratch the velvet flakes. Collect the velvet flakes. Apply base coat on nails. Now, apply the velvet flakes colored nail paint. Pick the velvet flakes and start pasting it lightly over wet paint. Once it's very well applied, remove the extra. With a round and flat mouth nail art stick, lightly press the flakes on nail paint.  

Get rid of boring florals and polka dots and go for geometric nail art. Just mix and match few squares, circles, pentagons, triangles, hexagons and make a great design. Apply a base coat then apply a light color. Take a tooth pick or nail art stick and start creating magic on your nails, let it dry for 10 minutes and apply a top coat.
