Naga woman alleges rape by Nigerian live-in partner

A 24-year-old woman from Nagaland alleged that she was raped by her live-in partner, a Nigerian national, on the pretext of marriage. A case under Section 376 (rape) and Section 313 (causing miscarriage without woman’s consent) was registered at the Mukherjee Nagar police station on Monday.
She had come into contact with the accused, identified as Nileango (34), around six months ago through a social networking site. The woman also alleged that she was recently made to abort their child by consuming contraceptive pills without her knowledge.
