N. Rly celebrates Van Mahotsav

As a part of an endeavour to maintain clean environment, Northern Railway celebrated, ‘VAN MAHOTSAV’ at Rail Eco Park, Chanakyapuri on Monday. Nishi Gupta, president, Northern Railway Women Welfare Organisation (NRWWO) and V K Gupta, general manager, Northern Railway, inaugurated the function by planting a sapling. A K Harit, principal chief engineer, Anurag Sachan, divisional railway manager, Delhi and other officers of Northern Railway Headquaters along with officers of the Delhi Division also participated by planting saplings.

Delhi Division has planted more than 1.45 lakh saplings in railway colonies, parks, along railway tracks etc during this monsoon, which will not only create greenery, clean and healthy living conditions but also enhance the green cover in the national capital.
